Synopsis
Nat, a happily married woman, is forced to leave her marriage simply because she is dead. Being a dead person in contemporary society is very difficult. To make a living, Nat has to find a way to coexist peacefully with the living by becoming a useful ghost.
Director
Bangkok-based Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke graduated from the film department of Chulalongkorn University. Currently he works full-time as a scriptwriter for the studio, writing commercial features and television series. He also teaches film theory and scriptwriting in the universities and works as a film critic. “A Useful Ghost” is his first feature that he’s developing the screenplay. The project won Most Promising Project at Southeast Asian Film Lab in the 2017 Singapore International Film Festival.
Producer
Cattleya Paosrijaroen graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Srinakharinwirot University. She served as line producer for films such as “By The River” by Nontawat Numbenchapol, “Pop Aye” by Kirsten Tan, and as producer for “Motel Mist” by Prabda Yoon and the omnibus film “Ten Years Thailand”. Cattleya is currently developing the new feature film “A Useful Ghost” with Thai director Ratchapoom Boonchachoke.
